What to do on Pinnacle Point Estate

​

Golf.
The course is ranked as one of the best in the country. To book tee-off times, go to the pro shop on the bottom floor of the clubhouse and ask them to book a tee-off time. They will then tell you what times they have an you choose the time. Please make sure that you are at the clubhouse at least 10 minutes before your tee-off time.

  • A golf cart with GPS is included in the green fees.

  • If you are above a 10 handicap, take spare balls!

  • There are adult clubs for rent.

 

La Vita Spa.
The usual treatments are available at the Spa down next to the golf clubhouse.

 

Restaurant/Bar.
There is a great restaurant and bar at the clubhouse. The restaurant does breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are some weeknight special menus and usually a Sunday lunch menu. If the Estate is busy, you made need to make a reservation at the restaurant.

 

Tennis/Gym/Golf Driving Range.
Near the gate/reception are a tennis court, gold driving range and gym. Call the Estate number for prices and so on. You’ll need your own gear.

Swimming Pool.
The holiday villas have their own pools if you get bored of the one at the house or the sea.

 

Oyster Bay.
At the bottom of the Estate on the front nine there is a small private beach surrounded by rocks. The beach is located near the 7th hole, so you can take the golf cart down to near the 7th and follow the signs to the bay.

Please note: no cars or unauthorised vehicles (aside from the golf carts) are allowed down to Oyster Bay. There is a parking area near Oyster Bay and the Estate runs a shuttle service from the parking lot to the beach. This service only operates during the summer season (November – February approx.).

​

Boardwalk.
At the clubhouse there is a path where you can walk down to another beach, and you can go and see caves where men used to live. Unfortunately you are not allowed to swim at this beach.

​

Cradle of Life.
At reception you can book a tour down to the caves below the clubhouse where some of the first evidence of modern man has been found.

​

Organized Tours.
In the high season, reception will tell you which excursions have been arranged off the estate. They do things like the Cango Caves, Jakkalsvlei vineyards and so on. See below for details on those attractions.

What to do around Pinnacle Point

 

Casino
The hotel at the entrance to the Estate houses a casino with tables and machines. The Estate has a private entrance to the hotel. The hotel also has restaurants, bars and hosts night-time shows periodically.

 

Mossel Bay Zip-line over water

The zip-line in Mossel Bay is the longest zip-line in the world overwater. If you want an adrenaline rush and a thrill, you should definitely check it out!

Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex
This museum contains a 500 year old post tree, a life size replica of the Dias Caravel

and an Ethno-Botanical Garden:

 

St. Blaize Trail

This is a 13.5 km walk from Cape St. Blaize Lighthouse to Dana Bay, and it passes through the estate and you can enjoy stunning views of the Indian Ocean while you walk. It also passes several fascinating caves some of which you can go into. It ends at the beach inside of the estate which is Oyster Bay.

Santos Beach

This is a clean, family beach with an amazing view and location. There is a train on the beach which houses restaurants.

 

Dana Bay
Dana Bay is a quaint seaside village with one of the longest beaches in the area. Great for walks when the weather’s OK. There are a couple shops, bars and restaurants in the village – but not near the beach.
